Bleeding Green Nation on Jayden Daniels
From the article
The Commanders have a decent offense and a very good young quarterback... He will stand in against pressure and release the ball before a receiver has finished his break... I do think there are stretches when Daniels is a little too conservative, particularly early in games... Against the Giants, he ran nine times for 103 yards and two touchdowns. He is averaging more than 50 rushing yards per appearance.
STACKED’s take
Daniels is an advanced young QB with elite progression reads but struggles with pressure and early-game conservatism.
Daniels is a very good young quarterback with advanced pocket awareness and progression-reading ability; he eliminates what isn't available quickly, works back across the field within play timing, and can deliver with anticipation to backside routes. His willingness to stand in against pressure and release before receivers finish breaks shows confidence and timing. However, he is sometimes too conservative early in games and has had accuracy misses; against pressure he occasionally holds vertical routes too long instead of taking shorter completions. His rushing ability is a major threat—he averaged over 50 rushing yards per appearance and ran for 103 yards and two touchdowns against the Giants—but this also requires excellent rush-lane integrity from defenses.
