We've seen just two games from Cooper, both of which involved 40+ yard receptions. Nobody makes those huge plays on a weekly basis. Cooper won't either. What will he do if he's the focus of every team's top defensive backs? Can he run a full route tree effectively? I don't know. So far he's been impressive. We'll know a lot more by the end of the year, if he stays healthy, regarding his upside and what he can and can't do well at the NFL level.

Cooper Jr. impressive in 2 games with 40+ yard receptions; sustainability questions remain.

Omar Cooper Jr., a 1st-round rookie WR for the Jets, has been very productive in his first two games back from injury, with both games featuring 40+ yard receptions. MacGregor Wells cautions that while Cooper has been impressive, nobody makes huge plays on a weekly basis and questions remain about his ability to run a full route tree effectively and perform when he becomes the focus of opposing defenses. Wells notes that Cooper won't replicate 40+ yard receptions weekly and that more will be known about his upside by season's end if he stays healthy, but for now he represents a real weapon opposite Garrett Wilson.
