Smith's revenge game against Raiders features personal motivation and poor prior history.

Smith faces a revenge-game matchup against the Raiders in Week 8, his former team where he posted a 2-13 record and was booed by fans after a loss to Cleveland in late November. The source frames this as the biggest storyline of the week, noting Smith has played it coy in media but likely has the matchup circled as a revenge game given how his Raiders tenure unfolded. Additionally, Smith is close with former Raiders coach Pete Carroll, adding personal motivation for retribution.
