Simmons backs Williams as teammate despite prior smack talk.

Jeffery Simmons, newly acquired Bears defensive tackle, expressed confidence in Williams as a teammate and player. Simmons stated 'We all know what type of player he is,' indicating respect for Williams' talent and ability. Despite prior smack talk when they were opponents (Simmons called Williams 'Painted Nails' two years ago), Simmons emphasized that such comments were gamesmanship and that he now has Williams' back as a teammate, saying 'when we're on the same team on Sundays, I go to war for any of my guys in the locker room.' Williams does not hold the prior comments against Simmons.
