Abanikanda's limited carries since 2023 and practice squad status signal limited NFL value.

Despite fan interest in signing Abanikanda off the Cowboys practice squad for his speed and burst, Ed Kelley notes the RB has had minimal NFL opportunity since his 22 carries for the Jets in 2023 and has cycled through multiple practice squads. The lack of sustained roster interest from NFL teams suggests evaluators do not see sufficient value to warrant a 53-man roster spot.
