Cincy Jungle on Samaje Perine

Perine scored twice and thrived in Bengals' shotgun-heavy second half vs. Ravens.

Perine was heavily involved in the Bengals' dominant second-half offensive scheme shift away from under-center looks. He scored a 1-yard touchdown run and added a 15-yard run out of shotgun, finishing the third straight scoring possession of the second half with a touchdown run from under-center. The source notes that while the running backs will need to produce at a higher clip at times this season, Perine's performance in this game exemplified the Bengals' successful pivot to shotgun-heavy play-calling that generated five straight touchdown drives.
