Yahoo Sports NFL on Tanner McKee

McKee takes over as Eagles starter; traditional pocket passer replacing athletic Hurts.

Tanner McKee, a 3rd-year NFL player, is now the Eagles' starting QB after Jalen Hurts' season-ending injury. McKee is a more traditional pocket passer than the athletic Hurts. Although McKee has played well in limited action prior to this year, the Eagles traded for Andy Dalton this past offseason and made him the immediate backup to Hurts, raising questions about McKee's confidence after Dalton's poor play in Week 3 led to his demotion.
