Behind the Steel Curtain on DK Metcalf

From the article

Adam Thielen, who played with both Rodgers and Metcalf last season, explained on ESPN's NFL Live that Metcalf lacks the versatility Rodgers prefers in receivers. Thielen stated: "What Aaron likes is he likes to have guys just line up and play football. We're not going to move him around. We're not going to put him in the slot. We're not going to motion him. We just want to line up and go win. DK is not that guy." Thielen emphasized that Metcalf needs to be moved around, placed in stacks, and motioned to be effective, but "he's not that guy right now in this offense." The tape shows Rodgers is looking for him and wants him, but Metcalf is not getting open, suggesting a fundamental scheme-player mismatch.
