Fantasy Life Articles on Kyler Murray
From the article
Murray has been around league average in terms of throwing between the numbers. It's not that Murray can't, but it's his 'screw it, my WR1 is down there somewhere' attitude that's garnered highlights.
STACKED’s take
Murray's middle-of-field comfort still developing; offense finding rhythm.
Kyler Murray's comfort level with attacking the middle of the field remains a work in progress. Historical analysis across four full seasons shows he ranks around league average in throwing between the numbers (27th in 2020, 15th in 2021, 11th in 2022, 22nd in 2024), and his EPA per attempt to the middle of the field has been similarly middling (19th, 18th, 13th, 14th respectively). The source notes Murray's strength lies in his 'screw it, my WR1 is down there somewhere' attitude rather than structured, on-time, in-rhythm throws typical of HC Kevin O'Connell's QBs. Finding what works for Murray is still a work in progress, which flows down to his WR1 Justin Jefferson.
