Yahoo Sports NFL on Sam LaPorta

LaPorta allowed a sack and struggled in pass protection; 3 catches for 33 yards.

LaPorta had a disastrous day as a blocker against Minnesota's blitz-heavy offense. He allowed a sack of Goff in the first half and was often left guessing where the pressure was coming from against Vikings linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel. As a receiver, LaPorta had a better outing than the previous week with three catches for 33 yards and a first-down run, but the source notes it would have been nice to see him have a more successful day as a blocker.
