Bateman and the rest of the receivers had a tough time jelling with emergency quarterback Joe Fagnano, as the undrafted rookie free-agent from UConn was thrust into action when Lamar Jackson injured his thumb on the first play, and Tyler Huntley checked out with turf toe. Jackson will need surgery, and he is going on IR, so he is out a while. With a short week, playing Thursday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team might have Fagnano making his first NFL start, crushing the fantasy appeal of anyone associated with the passing game in Charm City.

Bateman's 22 yards led Ravens WRs; emergency QB Fagnano crushes passing game appeal.

Bateman led the Ravens in receiving yardage with just 22 yards on three targets in Week 8 against Buffalo; the source attributes the poor performance to emergency quarterback Joe Fagnano (undrafted rookie free agent from UConn) being thrust into action after Lamar Jackson injured his thumb on the first play and Tyler Huntley checked out with turf toe. Jackson is going on IR for surgery and will be out a while, and with a short week before Thursday's game against Jacksonville, Fagnano may make his first NFL start, which the source says crushes the fantasy appeal of anyone associated with the Ravens passing game.
