Allgeier gains lead-back opportunity after Love ankle injury and Knight concussion.

Allgeier gained significant opportunity after Jeremiah Love aggravated his ankle and Bam Knight suffered a concussion, leaving him with zero real competition in the second half for the first time in his career. With James Conner on injured reserve and Evan Hull on the active roster, neither back projects to keep Allgeier from getting most of the work. Even if he gathers 70 percent of the snaps against the Seahawks, he qualifies as startable in a world with running back desperation.
