Mason loses snaps to DeeJay Dallas; Vikings interested in Jonathan Taylor trade.

Mason's momentum stalled in Week 8 after appearing to gain traction the previous week with 64% snaps and 15 touches. Minnesota's backfield added a third player this week, as DeeJay Dallas played 17 snaps to Mason's 15 and logged all but one of the team's third-down snaps. The source expresses confusion about why Dallas saw any playing time with both Mason and Aaron Jones active. Additionally, the Vikings have reportedly expressed interest in Jonathan Taylor, which could completely flip the backfield if a move is made before the trade deadline. Mason has shifted from a rising FLEX and low-end RB2 to more of a bench piece pending backfield clarity.
