Vaki posts 65 rushing yards on 11 carries (5.9 YPA) with key late-game carries

Sione Vaki rushed 11 times for 65 yards (5.9 yards per attempt) plus one reception for 5 yards against Minnesota. He was particularly effective in the second half, gaining 34 yards on five carries (6.8 YPA) in the third quarter and fourth quarter combined, including the final two plays that earned the Lions their winning first down. His downhill running style and inside-gap blocking scheme proved more effective than Gibbs' outside-zone looks in the first half.
