Yahoo Sports NFL on Gardner Minshew

Minshew's 188 yards, 3 TDs in OT win over Cowboys puts starting job in play.

Minshew led the Arizona Cardinals to a 33-30 overtime comeback win over Dallas, throwing 188 yards and three touchdowns as a second-stringer; Mike LaFleur declined to confirm whether Minshew had seized the starting job from Jacoby Brissett, but the source notes it's hard to envision the first-year coach reverting to the status quo after this performance. Minshew had been a forgotten man in the Cardinals' quarterback room amid questions about rookie Carson Beck's timeline.
