Yahoo Sports NFL on Michael Penix Jr.

Penix's 4 INTs in Falcons loss reverses momentum from POTW performance.

Penix had a volatile performance in Atlanta's loss to Tampa Bay, going 8-of-24 with four interceptions after earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors the previous week against San Francisco; the source notes this was a particularly rude homecoming for the Tampa native. For all his unevenness, Penix hasn't been particularly prone to interceptions early in his pro career, with only one other multi-pick game in his previous 17 starts. One week after looking so comfortable in adapting his game to deploy a quick-hit passing approach, the third-year passer failed to calibrate properly in the face of challenging circumstances.
