Yahoo Sports NFL on Baker Mayfield

Mayfield's $34M salary wasted in game with zero pass completions.

Mayfield's $34M cap hit exemplifies the QB overpayment crisis; he didn't complete a single pass in Tampa's Week 8 win, rendering him utterly inconsequential to the game outcome. The source notes this was the first time since 1974 a team won without completing a pass, underscoring that Mayfield's complete lack of impact—despite massive salary investment—makes him detrimental to his organization's cap structure.
