the asking price for Taylor is a first-round pick and a defensive tackle, which is a price that the Vikings should absolutely not be entertaining

Taylor's asking price (1st + DT) is too steep for Vikings' needs.

The Colts are asking a first-round pick and a defensive tackle for Jonathan Taylor in trade discussions with the Vikings. The source argues this price is too high and that Taylor does not solve the Vikings' core problem—the lack of a functional passing game—making the trade capital expenditure unjustifiable given the Vikings' need to preserve draft picks for a future quarterback in 2027.
