The Colts' tenor about trading Jonathan Taylor shifted over the weekend with reports that they are now willing to move him at the right price. If Taylor does find a new home, McGowan would be the next man up. McGowan positioned as Taylor's direct backup if Colts trade their star RB.

The Colts have shifted their stance on trading Jonathan Taylor and are now willing to move him at the right price; a blowout loss to Jacksonville should push them further toward selling. If Taylor is traded, McGowan would be the next man up. Excluding garbage time in Week 8, McGowan is the only running back other than Taylor to see the field for the Colts this year. At 6'0"/223 lbs, he has the build of a workhorse back and had receiving production in college, suggesting a potential three-down profile.
