Although Coleman out-carried J.K. Dobbins just 11-7, he was the recipient of the Broncos' goal-line work. He was also the only Denver running back to earn a target or catch a pass. Coleman earns goal-line work and receiving role; promoted to RB2 ranks.

Fourth-round rookie Coleman is emerging as the lead back in Denver's offense. Although out-carried J.K. Dobbins 11-7, Coleman received all goal-line work and was the only Denver running back to earn a target or catch a pass. The feared three-man committee with Tyler Badie or Cody Schrader never materialized. Coleman is now 3-for-3 in earning demonstrated commitment from running backs coach Sean Payton and has earned his place in the RB2 ranks despite only two teams on bye for Week 9.
