Vaki earned coaching staff trust with consistent positive yardage, establishing two-back system

Vaki took a huge step in Week 8, earning a lot of trust with the coaching staff by consistently gaining positive yardage on his runs (5 carries for 29 yards, 5.8 ypc in first half; 6 carries for 36 yards, 6.0 ypc in second half), which allowed the Lions to scale back Gibbs' workload and demonstrates the Lions have two legitimate options in the backfield moving forward.
