Bleeding Green Nation on Baker Mayfield

Mayfield's lack of impact exemplifies NFL's overpaid QB problem.

Baker Mayfield's performance exemplifies the NFL's overpaid quarterback problem; in the Buccaneers' historic win over Sunday (the first since 1974 where a team won without completing a single pass), Mayfield's job was tantamount to a server carrying a meal from the pass to a customer. His complete lack of impact underscored a larger league issue where the vast majority of quarterbacks are woefully overpaid for a lack of impact, with 13 quarterbacks currently accounting for a $30M+ cap hit but performing incredibly mediocrely.
