From the episode

Jaden doesn't really boot out all the way, does not want to kill the play immediately, which he should do if it's covered. He should just throw it away... He instead like fiddles around and then tries to run. By the time he goes down, there's nine seconds left... this is like the quarterback who's he's played a lot of games... I think that he should know better.

Negative signalRole

Daniels mismanaged the final play, failing to throw away a covered boot pass with 9 seconds left.

In the final minute of the Commanders-Giants game, failed to execute proper clock management on the final play; called a boot play action pass where he didn't boot out all the way and should have thrown it away if covered, instead fiddling around and trying to run, allowing the clock to run down to nine seconds; despite being a year-three franchise quarterback who won the Heisman and has been starting since age 14, didn't have a beat on the situation and deserves blame for how the final play was handled.
