Blogging The Boys on George Pickens
From the article
For the second straight week, George Pickens was largely an afterthought. Ten targets over the last two weeks simply isn't enough for a player with his skill set. Pickens finished with two catches for 48 yards, including a 37-yard reception, and appeared to have a 59-yard touchdown wiped off the board by a holding penalty.
STACKED’s take
Pickens' 10 targets over two weeks insufficient for his skill level.
Pickens was largely an afterthought for the second straight week despite his elite skill set, receiving only 10 targets over two weeks. He finished with 2 catches for 48 yards, including a 37-yard reception, and appeared to have a 59-yard touchdown wiped off the board by a holding penalty. The source criticizes Dallas for failing to make a concerted effort to get him more involved even after proving he could challenge Arizona vertically, noting 'There are stretches where Pickens completely disappears for an entire half.' The source argues that 'Particularly late in regulation and into overtime, Pickens should have been a focal point' and that 'There's simply too much talent invested in him for Dallas to go extended stretches without throwing him the football.'
