Barkley's wheel route design creates space; 24-yard gain shows scheme can help him.

The source highlights a well-designed play featuring Barkley on a wheel route that produced a 24-yard gain. A spinner play-fake in the backfield causes the linebacker to hesitate, and Barkley's release through the B-gap makes him harder for the linebacker to pick up than if he released straight outside. The source notes: "This is a good example of the design helping the player win his matchup, and it produces a 24-yard gain." The source also references Barkley scoring on a direct snap touchdown play, noting he is "clearly" not 100% healthy but continues to play and execute at a high level on individual plays.
