STACKED’s take
Ward's 304-yard game shows comfort with Daboll; consistency remains key to development.
Cam Ward posted his best performance with the Tennessee Titans against Cincinnati, throwing for 304 yards and rushing for 41 yards. He looked most comfortable under offensive coordinator Brian Daboll in this outing. The source notes Ward has shown a couple of really good performances but has struggled to stack positive games consistently; consistency will be key to proving doubters wrong. Upcoming schedule features Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, Jaguars again, and Washington Commanders—all weak pass defenses—with only Indianapolis Colts ranking 12th in passing yards allowed among remaining opponents. However, the Titans' 31st-ranked pass defense means Ward will need to consistently score in the high 20s or 30s to win games, which the source cautions is unlikely based on season-long performance.
