Arrowhead Pride on Justin Fields

Fields unused as run threat despite potential short-yardage package upside.

Backup quarterback Justin Fields is a run threat who has not seen the field once this season; the source notes that the Chiefs have experimented with read-option looks for short-yardage and red-zone packages using receivers like Jet and Mecole, and that Fields could raise the upside of those play calls by actually running them himself. However, Fields was not utilized on the third-and-goal situation in Denver, leaving a potential wrinkle unexploited.
