The Falcoholic on Michael Penix Jr.

Penix struggled in rain; Falcons' 24 pass attempts questioned in poor conditions.

Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. played all 53 offensive snaps in Week 8 against Tampa Bay but struggled in difficult weather conditions. The source questions the offensive strategy, noting the Falcons threw the ball 24 times 'on a day where the Bucs threw three passes and the rain made passing treacherous and clearly extremely difficult for Penix.' This suggests the passing-heavy approach was poorly suited to the conditions.
