Burks got the better of Quinyon Mitchell downfield and hauled in a 53-yard pass from Daniels. The catch was the longest reception by a Washington player this season. There's no replacing McLaurin, but Burks filled in a gap left by the number one wide receiver's absence and proved he can influence the game in big ways when called upon.

Burks leads team in receiving yards with 53-yard catch; steps up as deep threat after McLaurin injury.

Burks shook off an early dropped pass on third-and-3 and delivered one of his best performances in a Commanders uniform, leading the team in receiving yards in the Week 8 win over Philadelphia. He torched the Eagles secondary as a deep threat, including a 53-yard reception from Jayden Daniels in the third quarter—the longest reception by a Washington player this season. Burks showed length to stretch for a seven-yard first-down conversion and a 21-yard gain on a comeback route, proving he can influence the game in big ways when called upon to fill the gap left by McLaurin's absence.
