Colts seeking CMC-level haul for Taylor; age and receiver gap vs. McCaffrey create uncertainty.

The Colts are seeking a CMC-level compensation package (second-, third-, fourth-, and fifth-round picks) for Taylor in trade talks. Taylor is 27 and will turn 28 at the end of the regular season, compared to McCaffrey's age of 26 at the time of his 2022 trade; while Taylor is an elite runner, McCaffrey's receiver abilities haven't been matched since Marshall Faulk. The source assesses that interested parties and Colts' desire to trade suggest a deal is likely but not a foregone conclusion.
