Stevenson is the Patriots' most reliable weapon amid injuries; double snap count of other RBs combined.

Stevenson is the Patriots' most reliable offensive weapon amid widespread injuries to receivers, fullback, and offensive line; he has more than double the snap count of other running backs combined and serves as a tone-setter for the unit. Head coach Mike Vrabel emphasized his versatility, protection skills on third down and blitz situations, ball security improvement, and willingness to contribute in non-traditional ways (onside kick recovery). Despite ranking 22nd in rushing yards (367), 28th in touchdowns (2), and 31st in yards per carry (3.8), Stevenson's performance would rank significantly higher with better offensive line support.
