Video: Do Not Let Your Friends Pick Up This RB On The Week 8 Waiver Wire
He would be the highest priority waiver wire add for me this week. In his first game back for the designated for return IR, he played 33% of the long down and distance snaps, played 50% of the overall snaps... the first thing Sean Payton said after the game is we need to get the ball to Joe Mixon even more.

Highest waiver priority after IR return; Payton wants more Mixon touches.

Mixon is the highest priority waiver wire add this week after returning from designated for return IR. In his first game back, he played 33% of long down/distance snaps and 50% of overall snaps. Sean Payton explicitly stated after the game that they need to get the ball to Mixon even more, signaling increased usage going forward. JK Dobbins' role has been massively reduced since Payton took over play calling, creating more opportunity for Mixon. Mattek ranks Mixon as his highest-ranked Denver Broncos running back for the rest of the season.
