Murray's intermediate accuracy has declined; O'Connell's scheme demands ball-holding without checkdowns.

Murray has shown more inaccuracies this year than before, particularly on intermediate timing-paced routes to Jefferson. He missed a touchdown opportunity up the seam on a correct backside read by sailing the throw, and has had similar results on out-of-structure plays. Kevin O'Connell's offense asks Murray to hold onto the ball for downfield concepts without adequate checkdowns, and the offensive line, while solid, is not elite, making the holding-onto-the-ball requirement harder. Murray played the pressure well but continues to sail throws on timing routes.
