Gibbs leads NFL with 191 touches; Vaki emergence eases workload concerns.

Gibbs is leading the NFL with 191 touches through seven games played by the Lions, a huge workload that raises questions about workload management; however, the emergence of Sione Vaki as a change-of-pace back provides relief, allowing Gibbs to get breathers between carries while maintaining his elite usage. Lions quarterback Jared Goff noted that Vaki's performance gives Gibbs 'that much more of a breath on the sideline to come back and do his thing at his full capacity.' The Lions believe they have the best running back in the league in Gibbs.
