Ekeler played 17 of 20 early-down snaps but only 20% of long-down-and-distance snaps for Washington, making him primarily an early-down back. With Jeremy McNichols out for the season with a foot injury, Ekeler's role could expand as he continues recovering from his Achilles injury. Antonio Williams views him as a low-priority add but notes there is a chance Ekeler could lead the backfield in overall snaps next week as he gets healthier.
