Yahoo Sports NFL on Gardner Minshew

Minshew capitalized on Cowboys coverage breakdowns rather than making magic plays.

The source credits Minshew for making plays in Arizona's comeback but disputes the narrative of 'Minshew Mania' saving the day. The source states Minshew wasn't pulling off Houdini escapes or threading needles; he simply capitalized on coverage breakdowns by the Cowboys' defense. On the Cardinals' final two touchdowns, there wasn't a defender anywhere close on either play, making the throws easy rather than showcasing Minshew's skill.
