Silver And Black Pride on Kirk Cousins

Cousins locked in as starter through playoff push; 247 yards, 3 TDs vs. Jets keeps job secure.

Raiders QB delivered strong performance in Week 8 win over Jets, throwing for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns plus a rushing TD on a QB sneak. The source projects Cousins will retain the starting job for the foreseeable future as the Raiders (at .500) try to stay in playoff contention, with rookie Fernando Mendoza's first start likely coming after the Week 13 bye. Cousins' passing game is characterized as giving the Raiders their best chance to win despite an inefficient ground attack (3.0 ypc) and leaky defense.
