Hockenson benefited from Vikings' anomalous Week 8 passing volume.

Hockenson benefited from the Vikings' anomalous high-volume passing game in Week 8 against Detroit, but this performance is unlikely to repeat. Minnesota was only 3 percent over its expected pass rate and the Vikings' 350 total team air yards was more than 100 air yards over their season-long average, indicating the team's typical game plan does not prioritize high-volume passing.
