Yahoo Sports NFL on Justin Herbert
From the article
He was throwing deli meat out there. He's seeing ghosts. ... I don't know what's going on, but we knew we were going to get a couple (of interceptions) – at least one.
STACKED’s take
Herbert's league-leading 10 INTs and poor decision-making draw criticism from opposing defense.
Herbert threw two interceptions in a 24-9 loss to the Rams, pushing his league-leading interception total to 10 on the season. Rams safety Quentin Lake criticized Herbert's decision-making, saying "He was throwing deli meat out there" and "He's seeing ghosts," noting the defense anticipated multiple turnovers. Herbert acknowledged the poor play in his postgame assessment: "It's bad decisions, poor mistakes by me. It's something I have to clean up." Both interceptions came on throws to tight end Charlie Kolar, with Lake intercepting an out route in the first quarter (returning it 45 yards) and cornerback Trent McDuffie intercepting another Kolar target in the third quarter.
