"It starts with Coach. Coach Payton is really good at that. He talks about every game in the NFL is an important game. There's no such thing as a trap game because they're all that way. They're all must-wins... We know the importance of this week right before the Bye Week. We can't go on a Bye early... More attention to detail, more communication. If you do everything a little bit more and maximize your time this week, I think we'll be in a good spot."

Nix stresses Week 9 vs. Panthers is must-win before bye; details and third-down execution critical.

Bo Nix emphasized the critical importance of Denver's Week 9 matchup against Carolina before the bye week, dismissing the notion of a "trap game." Nix stated that Coach Payton reinforces that every NFL game is a must-win and that the Broncos cannot afford to go on bye early. Nix highlighted that as captains and leaders, the team must elevate practice details, communication, and execution this week, noting that maximizing time and doing everything "a little bit more" will put them in a good spot. Nix also identified third-down conversion and red-zone efficiency as critical areas for the offense to improve in order to secure victory.
