FantasyPros Articles on Emmett Johnson
From the article
Emmett Johnson turned six touches into 143 scrimmage yards and a touchdown against Denver, including five catches for 128 yards...The Jets just allowed Ashton Jeanty to catch three passes for 64 yards, and I like Johnson's chances of making something happen through the air against that defense.
STACKED’s take
Johnson's 143 scrimmage yards on six touches shows explosive upside against Jets' weak pass defense.
Emmett Johnson is a must-add sleeper outside the top 100 in FantasyPros' half-PPR FLEX rankings (ranked 119th vs. FLEX118 consensus). Against Denver, he turned six touches into 143 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on just 13 offensive snaps (19%), catching all five targets for 128 yards with gains of 73 and 38 yards and forcing at least four missed tackles on his lone 15-yard carry. His 13.2% target share was encouraging given limited playing time. Facing the Jets, who allowed Ashton Jeanty three catches for 64 yards and allow 123.6 rushing yards per game (21st) and the 13th-most receptions to running backs, Johnson has legitimate boom-or-bust sleeper upside. Kansas City enters as a 10-point favorite with an implied team total of 28.8 points, creating an attractive scoring environment for a rookie who just demonstrated explosive big-play ability with limited opportunities. Kenneth Walker III remains the clear lead back, but Johnson's performance could earn him additional involvement.
