Silver And Black Pride on Michael Mayer
From the article
Also, he's having a career year. Eight games into the season, Mayer has already logged personal bests in catches (36) and receiving yards (351). Additionally, those figures rank fourth and ninth among tight ends
STACKED’s take
Mayer's career-best 36 catches rank fourth at TE; faces elite coverage from Warner.
Mayer is having a career year through eight games with personal bests in catches (36, fourth among tight ends) and receiving yards (351, ninth among tight ends). His YAC ability accounts for 180 yards or 51.3% of his total, providing Cousins with a reliable check-down option; he ranks seventh in YAC at the position, 22nd in YAC per reception (5.0), and has forced five missed tackles (tied for seventh), recording the fourth-most first downs (22) among tight ends. One more receiving touchdown will match his previous single-season high of two. However, he faces an elite matchup against Fred Warner, who has surrendered just five catches for 37 total yards to tight ends in 2026 with only three yards after the catch.
