STACKED’s take
Jefferson is WR18 on WR31 usage; Murray injury adds uncertainty.
Jefferson is the WR18 on WR31 usage this season, averaging just 50 yards per game over his past 17 games compared to 96 YPG before Kyler Murray and Kevin O'Connell arrived. The Vikings' pass game issues stem from Murray, O'Connell, and Jordan Addison splitting targets; Jefferson sees significant bracket coverage and was left unprotected by the staff on outside leverage plays. Murray is now week-to-week with a hamstring injury, and Carson Wentz will start Monday night. Jefferson is clearly more of a fantasy WR2 than WR1 despite drawing an exploitable matchup against Buffalo (fourth in half PPR points allowed to WR rooms at 31.1 per game). Projected for 77.5 receiving yards vs. BUF in Week 9.
