McConkey has 48.5 projected receiving yards in Week 9 vs. Houston. He survived Week 8 because of a fluky 54-yard Hail Mary reception going into halftime that did not score a touchdown. Aside from that, McConkey turned 35 other routes into just four targets (11%), and 3-of-4 were screen variants behind the line of scrimmage; he dropped one of them. His other target wasn't completely out of structure, but it was a chore to complete the ball to him and he slipped after the catch. McConkey hasn't looked like the lightning-quick receiver he was as a rookie so far, and the Chargers were once again the worst offense in success rate (28%) in Week 8 off the bye. McConkey has been WR39, WR53, and WR9 in expected half PPR points in his three healthiest games. There's a volatile WR3 case for him after 92% routes last week.
