McCaffrey trade to 49ers was a bargain; 6,347 scrimmage yards and 56 TDs since.

JJ Zachariason highlights McCaffrey as the headline of the best in-season trades since 2020; the 49ers' 2022 acquisition for second, third, fourth, and fifth-round picks proved a bargain despite McCaffrey playing just 10 games in the two seasons prior due to injuries. Since the trade, McCaffrey has produced 6,347 yards from scrimmage and 56 total touchdowns in 4.5 seasons, won NFL Offensive Player of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year, and cemented himself as a future Hall of Famer and one of the best running backs ever; San Francisco made one Super Bowl with him and remains a contender this season.
