Yahoo Fantasy Football on Davante Adams

Adams trade to Jets was a bust; 854 yards, then released due to salary cap.

JJ Zachariason ranks Davante Adams' 2024 trade from the Raiders to the Jets as one of the nine worst in-season trades since 2020. The Jets traded for Adams the day after falling to 2-4 and after firing head coach Robert Saleh, sending a third-round pick to the Raiders. Adams played well with 854 yards, but the Jets predictably went 5-12 and released Adams the next offseason due to salary cap reasons. The Raiders didn't put the pick they received to good use, trading it to Seattle for Geno Smith, and the Seahawks burned it on quarterback Jalen Milroe, who has had no impact.
