Brown has appeared in just three games so far, catching nine passes for 101 yards... he also is currently dealing with a knee injury that has forced him to miss four straight practices and last Sunday's win in Miami... The knee held him out last week, and the knee is threatening to hold him out this week. It's a knee that I think raises some concerns as to how long he's going to keep playing here in New England, and producing at a high level.

Brown's knee injury and high ankle sprain limit availability; multiple teams had preseason concerns.

Brown has appeared in just three games through eight weeks, catching nine passes for 101 yards. He spent four games on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain and is currently dealing with a knee injury that forced him to miss four straight practices and last Sunday's win in Miami. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Rams, had concerns about Brown's knee during the offseason trade discussions, and those concerns have now manifested in New England this season. Schefter stated the knee 'is threatening to hold him out this week' and 'raises some concerns as to how long he's going to keep playing here in New England, and producing at a high level.' Patriots executive vice president Eliot Wolf acknowledged in June that Brown 'has a knee that has some wear and tear that we were aware of,' though the medical staff signed off on it.
