Yahoo Sports NFL on Brandon Aiyuk
From the article
Do you think he gets into the facility? I plead the fifth. You can ask John [Lynch] or Kyle [Shanahan]. Don't ask me. I'm a conspiracy guy.
STACKED’s take
Aiyuk's return to 49ers uncertain; Kittle skeptical, legal issues and team disinterest complicate reinstatement.
Aiyuk is attempting to return to the 49ers after spending over two years away from the team following a season-ending injury against the Chiefs in Week 7 of the 2024 season. He has been on San Francisco's Reserve/Left Squad list and recently hired agent Drew Rosenhaus to file reinstatement paperwork. However, George Kittle expressed skepticism about whether Aiyuk will actually report to the facility, suggesting the awkward reunion is unlikely. Additionally, Aiyuk faces an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Santa Clara on a misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speed, which could jeopardize his arrival. Based on Kyle Shanahan's comments, the 49ers do not appear interested in welcoming Aiyuk back to the offense, with the team's remaining options being to release or trade the wideout.
