Aiyuk's under contract through 2028. Best case, he's your WR2. The worst case is he's on the scout team, serving as CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Malik Nabers in practice over the next month.

NeutralDepth Chart

Aiyuk could remain on 49ers roster as WR2 or practice squad depth.

Aiyuk remains under contract through 2028; a plausible outcome exists where he remains on the 49ers roster, though whether he suits up is uncertain. If he stays, he could serve as WR2 in best case or scout team practice body in worst case, given the 49ers' depleted receiver depth chart without Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, potentially Christian Kirk, and De'Zhaun Stribling out for another month-plus.
