Mitchell is part of the three-headed rotation that community views as fundamentally broken. Comments describe him as a 'journeyman RB' and note he cannot handle more than 5–10 touches per game due to size and durability concerns. One comment: 'Mitchell is best used as a light spell back...he can't handle the extra work.' Another joked 'This means 10 more touches for the goat Keaton Mitchell,' sarcastically. The rotation prevents any RB from getting into rhythm, and Mitchell's role as a situational receiving back is seen as part of the problem, not a solution.
